Coulsdon Athletic is a community based football club that does not hold trials.

We will aim to accommodate players of all abilities.

We look to develop players of all ages with the main aim being enjoyment for all.

We look to play football in the correct way with fairness and respect being high on our agenda.

     Clubs Background

The Club was formed in 1976 by a group of parents from a new housing development in Coulsdon Woods.

At that time all of the players came from  Birchfield Close and Southlands Close and they called themselves Southlands United FC.

      Early years

Over a short period of time the Club found itself in a rapid period of growth, as players where coming from a larger catchment area, the Club changed its name to Coulsdon Athletic FC to reflect wider area of the community it now serviced.

The teams played in the Shirley & District Youth League (no longer in existence) and the Tandridge Youth Football League and was represented at both the highest and lowest levels. The Club base was in Old Coulsdon we hired a field from the MOD behind the Fox PH and maintained our own pitches.

      Current

The Clubs current home ground is at Corrigan Avenue Recreation Ground where we have 3 full size pitches and 3 mini soccer pitches at our disposal.

We play our football on Sundays most home matches are played in the morning. Our aim is to support the local community by offering structured football to children of all skills levels and abilities, we are not a win at all costs Club.

The Club hosted a very successful annual 5 aside tournament in May each year which was a major source for funding. The competition was held in high regard.
