A high flying Eagles side came up against a physicaly stronger and quicker Purley side that had speed and pace that at times Egales found hard to cope with, dispite Eagles being in a up beat mood Purley were quicker to the ball and had soon racked up an early lead. Eagles team spirit and self belief kept them working hard but Purleys sharper quicker passing always gave them the edge as there higher league position became apparent Eagles battled untill the end and were able to walk off the pitch with there heads held High.

It must be said that both teams came up against teams that are well established with a set up of a profeesional standard. So well done to to our boys for giving it your best.

TIGERS V LAMBETH TIGERS

25/4/15

A friendly match arranged to keep the boys' mind focused and match fitness up at a time where our last few remaining  league matches are a few weeks apart thus giving us lots of free Sundays.

Bearing this in mind Tigers started well , when they took an early lead with a fine passing move down the left hand side that was smartly finished at the end of a low hit cross.

This had the affect of awakening Lambeth tigers who as a team had not tasted defeat in nearly three years and had reach the quater finals of the European Cup for there age group. Lambeth put together some fine passing football and using their pace  and movement and so soon equalised. Tigers remained competative but found themselves 4-1 down at half time to a fine football team.

The second half started in much the way the first half did with a early goal for the Tigers built on a creative passing move.

Lambeth then began to show there quality and greater fitness and took control, with greater movement and possesion of the ball, tigers working hard earnt the respect of a team that plays constantly higer level.

A 6-2 victory was not as one sided as the result states.

A big thank you to the staff and players from Lambeth Tigers and for the inspirational words afterwards.

Today we played a team that we can take a great deal from learning from their approach, their attitude and their application. a place that we can aim to be.

TIGERS V OXTED

17/05/2015

The last Game of the season for Tigers and after a lengthy break both teams provided a large number of cheering parents ,from both teams with a hard battling end of season encounter.

Tigers started well with some fine passing football, crisp neat passing and movement helped increase the pressure on the Oxted goal, producing a number of fine save s from the Oxted Keeper.

One of these fine saves lead to a Tigers Corner from which tigers took the lead with a fine looping header that nestled into the corner of the net

The first half was a fine display of football from both teams and seemed to be over so quickly.

Both teams started the second half well with Oxted always in the game, creating a few early chances that were dealt with well by the Tigers solid back line and keeper. Tigers got their passing game back together and a nice passing move was finished strongly by the Tigers forward. Oxted rallied and struck back after a defensive mixup by the otherwise faultless Tigers Defence.

More Tigers pressure and  another goal  Tigers Third, and then all to quickly an Oxted second ,soon followed by the full time whistle.

This in all was a fantastic game played in a hard battling fair manner a credit to both teams ,there supporters ,managers and most of all the boys
